Every once in a while I get a cool idea. And this idea comes from the space of generating more traffic to my blog. But we don’t live in a vacuum. Okay, space is a vacuum and our planet resides in it, but you know what I mean. There is strength in numbers, and as it turns out, traffic too.<\/p>\n

So by the sweat of my brow, because it is hot on Connecticut now, I created SFFBloggers.com<\/a>, an aggregator of Science Fiction and Fantasy blogs. A bunch of my buddies at Fantasy-Writers.org,<\/a> drank the cool-aid<\/del> climbed on board and we’ve got a nice community going on of writers blogging and getting a snippet of their posts automatically uploaded to the aggregator.<\/p>\n

And you can too.<\/p>\n

That is if you are a science fiction or fantasy blogger.<\/p>\n

YOU: Sounds cool, but um, are you charging, like money, for this?<\/p>\n

ME: Nope.<\/p>\n

YOU: (incredulously) No? What are you a communist or something?<\/p>\n

ME: Let’s not go there. I’m offering something that has almost has no cost to it.<\/p>\n

YOU: That’s better. I thought you might be one of those left-wing teary-eyed liberals.<\/p>\n

ME: Well, I am. But that’s not the point. All you have to do is link to this blog and the aggregator on your blog page and we’re good.<\/p>\n

YOU: That’s it?<\/p>\n

ME: Yup. That’s it.<\/p>\n

YOU: But, like, how to do you support it. Running a blog costs money.<\/p>\n

ME: It’s a promotional expense. I write it off my taxes.<\/p>\n

YOU: Oh, I understand now. It’ a tax dodge.<\/p>\n

ME: [face palm]<\/p>\n
